The Baltimore Orioles are reportedly listening to offers for Cedric Mullins.

The asking price remains high for Mullins and a deal may be unlikely to happen, but several clubs have shown interest.

Mullins had a breakout season in 2021. He was the only Major League player to have 30 home runs and 30 steals.

The Los Angeles Angels and Cincinnati Reds have had preliminary talks on a trade for Luis Castillo, according to a report.

The Reds have placed a high price on Castillo and no deal appears imminent.

The A's are expected to slash payroll this offseason and Olson is their most attractive trade chip.

Olson has two years of team control remaining.

Los Angeles Angels general manager Perry Minasian has reiterated his desire to land an impact starting pitcher while speaking with the media on Tuesday.

"Frontline starting pitching is tough to acquire. It's very difficult," Minasian acknowledged. "That being said, we'd like to significantly improve our rotation. That's an area where we'll definitely look for a certain type of quality."

Asked about the budget, Minasian simply replied he "wouldn't rule us out of anything."

The Chicago White Sox are open to moving reliever Craig Kimbrel days after picking up his $16 million contract option for 2022.

"We view him as a potentially impactful reliever as he's been for the vast majority of his career," White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Tuesday on Day 1 of the GM meetings in Southern California. "We're not alone in that opinion.

"What we have to figure out is if it makes the most sense to have Craig in a White Sox uniform going forward or is there a better use of that spot and him perhaps via trade."

The Cincinnati Reds have traded Tucker Barnhart to the Detroit Tigers.

Cincinnati will receive infield prospect Nick Quintana in the deal.

The play of rookie Tyler Stephenson, who split time behind the plate last season, made Barnhart -- and his contract -- expendable. Barnhart had a $7.5 million salary option for 2022.
